Royal fans insist Princess Charlotte looks identical to another relative

While we’ve been saying she looks like a young Queen Elizabeth for years, royals enthusiasts have spotted Princess Charlotte’s uncanny similarity to another royal.

Royal fans say Charlotte looks just like a young Lady Kitty Spencer, after Princess Diana’s niece shared a throwback childhood snap of herself.

Kitty, 27, the daughter of Diana’s brother Charles Spencer and Victoria Lockwood, shared the sweet snap on Instagram, captioned: “First day of school #tbt”.

The black-and-white shot shows a four-year-old Kitty wearing a gingham dress, sweet white socks and black pumps.

Royal fans were quick to comment on the lookalike shot, with some saying that they even mistook the picture as being one of the young princess.

One said: “Princess Charlotte has the Spencer genes. You look so similar in this.”

“How much does she look like Princess Charlotte,” one commentator wrote, while another added: “I thought it was princess Charlotte for a moment.”

“Wow, Princess Charlotte is so similar to you,” another wrote.

The comments on the resemblance between Kitty and Charlotte comes after comparisons between the young royal and Diana.

Following her appearance at Prince Louis’ christening in July, royal fans couldn’t help but notice the three-year-old bears a remarkable resemblance to her late grandmother.

“Wow, I had not realised they looked so much alike,” one commentator wrote on social media. Another added, “I have been saying — for a while now — that Charlotte is going to look a lot more like Diana than anyone thinks”.

While Charlotte never got to meet her grandmother, they may still share a special bond in their love of dancing.

The Duchess of Cambridge revealed last year that Charlotte had taken up dance lessons. She was greeting representatives of charities which were close to Diana’s heart and checking out the tributes left at Kensington Palace on the 20th anniversary of the late princess’ death when she made the uber-cute revelation. “She absolutely loves it,” she said.

Of course, Diana loved a turn on the dance floor more than anything, and there are plenty of photos of her taking her dancing shoes for a spin. In fact, the photos where she is dancing may just be the ones where she looks her happiest – except for of course when she was with her beloved sons.

Diana took up dancing when she was just a little girl like Charlotte too, studying ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz, and later, was involved in a lot of fundraising for the English National Ballet.
