Prince William left royal fans in stitches, after he joked about remembering his wife’s birthday.

Prince William stopped by the Royal London Hospital on Wednesday — where he was announced as the patron of the air ambulance’s anniversary campaign  — and jokingly assured some gathered children that his was well aware of Duchess Catherine’s 37th birthday.

The hilarious moment came after a child gifted William with a birthday card.

“Well done for remembering,” the prince said as he looked over the card and thanked the children, as captured in a video from royals reporter Rebecca English.

“I did remember this morning, so I was okay,” he joked, laughing off a question about what he gifted her.

While William kept quiet about Catherine’s birthday plans, we’re sure he organised something special for his wife of seven years.

William carried out his engagement on Wednesday to mark London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s 30th anniversary campaign.  The prince, a former pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, flew from his home in Kensington Palace to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

The past year has been a big one for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who welcomed their third child Prince Louis, in April.

Meanwhile, fans got their first 2019 sighting of the royal couple just days ago when they stepped out for church in Sandringham.

Catherine opted to keep herself warm in the chilly English weather with an eye-popping blue coat. She accessorised with a matching blue headband, a navy-blue clutch and a pair of heels for the service. The mother-of-three also wore a polka dot dress under her coat.

The handsome Prince William wore a long wool coat, shirt and tie to the service at St Mary Magdalene Church. He made headlines last month when he joked about his wife’s style during an event in Cyprus where the couple met with RAF personnel.

As the pair were photographed with service personnel at RAF Akrotir in front of a giant Christmas tree, William joked that his wife’s outfit was very similar to the festive tree she was posing in front of.

For the particular outing, Catherine had opted for a pair of flared navy trousers and a tight white t-shirt, but it was her choice of green blazer that really got William going.

“Do you want me to move out of the photo?” the Prince joked as he and his wife stood in front of the Christmas tree. “My wife’s camouflaged against the tree.”
