They’re one of the most talked about families in the world and one royalist got the surprise of her life when she received a very special reply from Prince William, Duchess Catherine and their three children after sending them a Christmas card over the festive period.

While the young family revealed their official Christmas card photo last month, a second Christmas card and snap of the family-of-five has been shared on social media. Instagram account Loopycrown3 shared a very special postcard she received from the young royals.

“Fantastic reply from the Cambridges thanking me for sending my Christmas and New year wishes,” a message on the Instagram account read.

It captioned a postcard of Prince William, Catherine, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and baby Prince Louis at his christening from July last year.

Royal fans will recall the photograph was captured at Prince Louis’ christening by Matt Holyoak. The picture had originally been shared on the Kensington Royal Instagram page shortly after the christening.

In the photo, Catherine is holding little Louis as William, George and Charlotte smile directly into the camera. In addition to the photograph, the account also revealed the special message Prince William and his family sent royal fans.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis thank you for your very kind Christmas message,” the card read. “Their Royal Highnesses send you their very best wishes for Christmas and for the New Year.”

Of course, their official Christmas photo was a gorgeous black and white picture of the couple on their wedding day. The iconic photo shows the pair stood arm in arm watching a magnificent fireworks display over Frogmore House – the location of their reception.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex thank you for the very kind message you sent for Christmas,” the message read. “This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send their best wishes for Christmas, and for the New Year.”
