They have been married for just over eight months and are expecting their first child together this spring, and it seems that the royal couple are still very much in the honeymoon period as Prince Harry jokingly warned off one of his wife’s admirers on a recent royal engagement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Birkenhead, in Merseyside, UK, together on Monday and as one female fan admired the duchess, Prince Harry cut in to make everyone knew that she was with him.

Footage of the funny exchange was captured by an onlooker and shared on social media by fan account ‘peoplesprincess2.0’.

“When you speak, it’s amazing,” the woman said. “Absolutely inspiring.”

Harry then jokingly cut into the conversation and quipped: “She’s mine!”

Meghan burst into laughter at her husband’s comment, as did the crowd of gathered women, telling Harry: “She’s fantastic.”

The royal couple also revealed the due date of their baby during the joint engagement, during which they visited several charities, including Tomorrow’s Women Wirral, and met with well-wishers in Hamilton Square.

Royal Correspondent for UK publication The Sun Emily Andrews explained on Twitter that the former actress told royalists at Birkenhead that she was six months pregnant and due to give birth at the end of April or the start of May.

“#DukeAndDuchessOfSussex wow the crowds in Hamilton square, Birkenhead. #Meghan told wellwishers she’s six months pregnant and is due end of April/start of May,” Andrews tweeted. “She also said they didn’t know whether #babysussex is a girl or a boy as they want a surprise!”

The royal family had previously announced that the baby was due sometime during the UK spring, but didn’t confirm an exact month or due date.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” a statement from the Palace said at the time. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
