Prince Harry showed off his playful side on Tuesday as he met with fellow conservationist Dame Jane Goodall at Windsor Castle – as the pair shared an impromptu dance. The 85-year-old primatologist was hosting a global leadership meeting for the Roots & Shoots organisation – an event which aims to bring together young conservationists – at the castle.

During the event, a few sweet moments were captured between the two, who have met on several occasions previously, as they showed off their dance moves in a spontaneous jig and reenacted a chimp greeting, triggering a burst of laughter from the audience. The heartwarming embrace was shared on the Sussex Royal’s official Instagram page for eager fans to see.

“A couple of captured moments between The Duke of Sussex and Dr. Jane Goodall at today’s event,” the caption read.

“The pair share an impromptu dance and ‘Chimpanzee Greeting’ which Jane taught The Duke when they first met. Today’s event was full of education, inspiration and fun. Because working hard and playing hard are not mutually exclusive.”

At the meeting, Harry, who also shares a passion for environmental conservation, delivered a moving speech praising Goodall and her environmental efforts.

Founded in 1991, Roots & Shoots is a global program for young conservationists to work on projects aimed at making the world better for people, animals and the environment.

“She is a woman of kindness, warmth, immense knowledge and a softness that’s needed by mankind just as much as it is chimpkind,” he said at the event, according to People magazine.

“I’ve been admiring her work since I was a kid, and it was so wonderful to find that she was even more amazing in person.”

Meanwhile, the famed conservationist recently revealed in an interview that she got the chance to meet and cuddle baby Archie, saying he was “very cute and very gentle”.

“Harry asked if I would go and meet him. They made me a dame of the British empire so I guess he thought it would be good to meet me. And we clicked,” Jane said of their meeting a few months ago, according to Hello! UK.

“I have met the Duchess once just last month and Harry twice. She told me she’s followed me all her life. She told me: ‘You’ve been my idol since I was a child. I’ve worshipped you all my life.’ She came in at the end with Archie and I got to cuddle him!”
