Today marks the 35th birthday of Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex celebrated the occasion by sharing a series of photographs of the duke, including a previously unseen photo of the couple’s four-month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The duchess posted a gushing tribute in honour of her “inspirational” husband on social media on Sunday, describing the prince, who she married in May 2018, as the “best husband”.
“Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day,” Meghan wrote on Instagram. “You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday!”
A collage of images was shared alongside Meghan’s poignant message, including a brand new photo of baby Archie from his christening day in July. The sweet photograph shows Harry kneeling in front of his wife, with Meghan seated in a chair, cradling their then-two-month-old son on her lap.

Other photos included several of Prince Harry as a young boy, including one of the 35-year-old royal being carried down the steps of a plane by his late mother Princess Diana, dressed cutely in a knitted bobble hat. Another image showed Harry with his older brother Prince William as teenagers.
Harry’s grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh also featured in the collage, however his father Prince Charles and grandmother Her Majesty the Queen were notably missing.
The photos delighted royal fans, with many quick to comment on the new snap of Archie. One person wrote: “New picture of Archie. Thank you for posting he’s so adorable! Another said: “That picture of Harry kneeling in front of Meghan, and Archie! Beautiful beyond words.”
While a third wrote: “This is the best photo montage, the one with Archie is a gem. Happy Birthday dear Prince Harry, we wish you the best with your lovely family and all the causes you stand for.”

While Harry’s brother William and sister-in-law Catherine also wished the Duke of Sussex a happy birthday. The Cambridges shared a photo of the brothers together on Harry and Meghan’s day, alongside the caption: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!”

Earlier this week Prince Harry set tongues wagging when he gave a rare update on his son’s progress, telling young rugby players that the baby was “getting so big”.
He was attending a children’s rugby event at a high school in the English town of Luton this week when he was quizzed about how his new parenting role was going, with one of the youngsters asking him: “Prince Harry, how is everything going with Archie?”
And – despite the duke and duchess wishing to protect their four-month-old son’s privacy as much as possible – the 34-year-old royal, who actually celebrates his 35th birthday today, treated the school children to a sweet update.
“He is really well, thanks,” he said to the youngsters. “And he’s getting so big!”
