They have to follow some very strict rules when representing the royal family on public engagements, but that doesn’t mean Prince Harry isn’t offering constant support to his new wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
In fact, a fan managed to capture one of the rare moments the prince let his guard down and shared a tender moment with his spouse at the WellChild Awards in London on Tuesday.
Holding his arm behind Meghan – who dazzled in a bold black power suit, designed by New York brand Altuzarra, for the event – Harry was filmed slowy stroking her back.
The footage quickly went viral on social media, with fans commenting on the sweet moment and praising the prince for being a constant comfort.

Meanwhile another fan wrote: “This is love!!!” And one added: “I adore them and the sweet moments like this!”
The couple met young winners of the 2018 WellChild Awards at the event, which celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country’s seriously ill youngsters and the dedication of their loved ones who go the extra mile to keep children healthy and happy.
The Duchess, 37, looked incredible in the black trouser suit – a style she favoured heavily before officially joining the ranks of the British royal family in May – while Harry looked smart in a blue suit and matching tie.
Opting for her favourite hairstyle, Meghan wore her dark locks pulled back into a messy low bun, with two strands of hair curled at the front, framing her face perfectly. While she kept her make-up understated with a slick of black eyeliner and a coating of pink lipgloss.

Prince Harry, 33, has been Patron of WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children and their families, since 2007.
The royal couple, who said their vows almost four months ago at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, are preparing to visit Australia for their first official intercontinental trip together.
Harry and Meghan will head down under in October for the Invictus Games in Sydney, a world-renowned sporting event in celebration of wounded war veterans which was founded by the Duke in 2014.
The palace is yet to reveal details about exactly where the couple will visit in Australia besides Sydney, but did announce they’ll also swing by Commonwealth countries New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
