‘Little angels!’ James Middleton welcomes litter of adorable puppies

James Middleton has warmed everyone’s hearts and provided some happy news amid the pandemic this week, taking to social media to share snaps of some new additions to the family.

The 33-year-old, who is known for being the Duchess of Cambridge’s younger brother, revealed his dog Luna had given birth to six adorable puppies – and oh my, aren’t they gorgeous! The six pups were delivered last week after a stressful birth and are thankfully doing well. In the video shared to James’ social media they could be seen happily feeding next to their mother.

Currently James is taking care of them along with his other dogs, including puppy Nala who he welcomed to the family just days prior. But, when they’re ready, they’ll be moving on to new homes, with the money from the sale of the pups going to charity PetsAsTherapy which provides therapeutic pet visits to care homes, hospitals and schools.

“6 little friends for Nala to play with,” James wrote on the Instagram post. “A week ago Luna had three little pups at 5am, but we had to rush to the vets for an emergency c-section where another four pups were delivered. Sadly one didn’t make it, but there are six healthy pups suckling away happy as can be. They all have lovely homes waiting for them and I will be donating all the money from the sale of the pups to @petsastherapy_uk.”

And it seems the news of the puppies arrival is just what some people needed during the pandemic, with many claiming it really brightened their day.

“Oh how wonderful!” @thewoodlandwife commented on the Instagram post. “We would have loved one of Luna’s pups. We’re on the lookout for a new member of the family. I bet they have all got excellent homes. Enjoy the pups and that wonderful puppy smell (did I just say that out loud?).”

“Thank you for sharing! Needed something sweet like this today!” @funon101 said. While @miekiebloo added: “Few things as cute as a brand new pupper!” And @royal.house.of.winsdor commented: “What little angels!”

There’s no denying James is an animal lover, with his social media feed full of photos of his beloved dogs and posts about the PetsAsTherapy charity. He is often snapped taking his dogs to hospitals and care facilities to visit patients and provide them some support and love during difficult times.

And just last week he added another member to his family, with adorable puppy Nala welcomed with open arms. Snaps of the super cute pup were posted to Instagram, with James explaining he couldn’t wait to take her on adventures with his other dogs
