‘Image of George!’ Royal fans go wild as James Middleton shares childhood photo

His sister may one day become queen, but James Middleton remains as close as he ever was to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. And the 32-year-old paid tribute to his “wonderful” older sister this week as he shared a throwback photo on social media.

James took to Instagram in support of Catherine’s latest initiative, ‘Five Big Questions on the Under 5s’, and asked his followers to support the duchess’ work by taking part in the early years survey. He wrote: “This isn’t a post about dogs…brace yourselves…BUT it’s in huge support of my wonderful Sister’s ‘Early Years’ initiative to ask ‘5 big questions on the under fives’.

“If you have 5 minutes & live in the UK join the biggest conversation on early childhood. Like me even if you don’t have children, your own experiences will help invest in the future of the next generation.”

However, while many people commended him for supporting his sister’s work, it was the photograph that James shared of himself as a child that set most people’s tongues wagging as royal fans gushed over his resemblance to another member of the Middleton family.

Lovely post, you are the image of prince George. Catherine is a fantastic role model,” one person wrote. Another simply said: “Looks like George!”

While another wrote: “I thought this was a pic of George!” And another person said: “Wow! I see a huge resemblance with Prince George in this photo!”

Many people also commented to praise James for publicly supporting Kate’s work, with one writing: “Ooh goodness this is the sweetest thing I saw today! It is so beautiful how you are supporting your incredible sister!”

While another said: “Wonderful James, it’s great to see siblings supporting each other like y’all do.”

James largely remains out of the spotlight and more commonly shares images of his five dogs on social media, having previously revealed his battle with depression. However last year he used the platform to publicly reveal the news that he had proposed to girlfriend Alizee Thevenet, after around 15-months of dating.

“She said OUI,” he wrote on Instagram in October. “Our secret is out but we couldn’t be happier to share the news.”

He paired the announcement with a sweet photograph of the couple cuddling in together and smiling broadly at the camera during a trip to the Lake District in the North West of England. Alizee also showed off her sparkling sapphire ring in the snap.
