New mum Edwina Bartholomew shares adorable footage of baby girl

Edwina Bartholomew has shared new footage of her adorable baby girl Molly as she celebrated the New Year with her growing family.

Little Molly Varcoe was born just over a week ago with the Channel 7 presenter announcing her birth on social media prior to Christmas. Now after taking some time to settle into her new role as mother, Edwina has updated her followers on her adorable family.

On January 1 the 36-year-old uploaded a short video of Molly waking up on the first day of 2020 with her tiny arms and legs stretched out long.

The post received plenty of attention with friends and fans cooing over the little bub.

“Just beautiful, Molly is oh so cute,” @jenkev34 wrote on Instagram.

“Edwina, your daughter is gorgeous,” @mummamz commented. “Happy New year to you and your family.”

“What a little darling,” @unapologetically_abii added.

Edwina and her husband Neil Varcoe welcomed Molly into the world on December 18 with the proud parents sharing two adorable photos of their new addition on social media in the lead up to Christmas, revealing they were “exhausted and elated” following Edwina’s reported 36-hour labour.

Molly made her debut on social media swaddled in a colourful blanket with new dad Neil gently resting his hand on his daughter’s tummy.

While Channel Seven initially confirmed the news that Eddy had delivered a healthy baby girl, revealing they had chosen to name her Molly, the new parents revealed they had also chosen to give their daughter two middle names, both of which have sentimental family ties.

The Sunrise presenter wrote: “Meet Molly Matilda Christie Varcoe. Late like her Mum and tall like her Dad. Molly ‘cause we like it.

“Matilda for Neil’s Great Grandmother. Christie was my Grandmother’s maiden name and my middle name too. We are exhausted and elated. @neilwrites still in shock. Thank you for all the well wishes. We all feel very loved xxx”

People were quick to comment on the sweet photographs, including 7.30 host Leigh Sales who wrote: “Congrats sweetheart xxx.” Former House Rules judge Wendy Moore commented: “Congrats Eddy – that’s such lovely news!!”
