Turia Pitt announced the happy news that she had welcomed her second child into the world just four days ago, and now she has treated her followers to an adorable new snapshot of beautiful bub Rahiti.

The 32-year-old shared an update on her newborn son’s progress on Instagram on Thursday, and said she is feeling “overjoyed, delirious, sleep deprived and extremely emotional” since becoming a mum of two with fiance Michael Hoskin.

The sweet photograph shows baby Rahiti sucking his thumb as he takes a nap, wrapped in a sleepsuit decorated with a solar system-themed design.

“Ah neonatals. They truly are the most unique and divine creatures,” she wrote. “I’m overjoyed, delirious, sleep deprived and extremely emotional. Sometimes my mind will race ahead of me – I need to get the washing in, send that email, get Hakavai’s stuff ready for pre-school. I worry about how I’ll sleep tonight, and what tomorrow will be like if we don’t get enough (who am I kidding? Of course I won’t get enough ????). It’s exhausting.”

Many mums rallied around Turia, sharing their own post-natal experiences. One wrote: “I do a lot of that..what if..what if..your post is right on. Enjoy this beautiful boy. Time is trickier with the 2nd one. Congrats to you and hubby.”

Another said: “Congratulations Turia & family. He is truly gorgeous. I wish I had been able to read your words 11 years ago when I was experiencing the newborn feels. Staying in the moment…what wisdom. I think I need to remember this even now as parent a pre teen. Thank you and all the best for a restful sleep tonight.”

While fellow new mum and Channel Nine star Sylvia Jeffreys commented: “Massive YES to all of this.”

The 32-year-old revealed the happy news on Instagram on Sunday evening as she shared an image of herself cradling her newborn son, who has been given the name Rahiti. The unique moniker is of Polynesian descent and means ‘rising sun’.
