Popular Australian winemaker, Warburn Estate has ordered an urgent recall of 13 products from their range.

While there’s nothing better than kicking back with a glass of wine at the end of the day, customers are being warned to return all bottles named in the recall due to traces of glass found inside certain batches.

Warburn Estate said the glass was the result of a packaging fault.

The company has recalled its Gossips, Rumours and Wine Gang ranges, as well as one of its signature lines.

All wines are from 2017, and include Rumours Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato.

The Gossips wines recalled are Chardonnay, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato, Pink Moscato, Dolcetto and Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.

Wine Gang Sauvignon Blanc and Warburn Estate Sangioveses Rose were also among the wines recalled.

The recall includes individual 750ml bottles and cartons of six bottles.

The products are sold nationally in BWS, Dan Murphy’s and independent liquor stores and hotels, and can be returned for a full refund.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand have ordered an urgent recall.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said customers were entitled to a full refund if they returned the affected bottles.

“Consumers should not drink this product and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” they said in a statement on their website.

Have you ever bought this brand? What’s your favourite wine? Do you prefer red or white wine?
