Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife Jenny touched down in the United States yesterday for an official state visit. The pair were officially welcomed to the White House with a special reception hosted on the iconic front lawn on Friday afternoon, before a quick outfit change before attending a swanky State Dinner.

Despite usually keeping a low profile, only attending the most important of political events, mum-of-two Jenny looked incredible as she slipped into a dazzling navy gown for the special occasion in Washington DC on Friday. Wearing her hair pinned up, the 51-year-old looked incredible as she posed alongside her husband on the steps of America’s most famous residence.

Jenny’s sequinned frock flattered her beautifully, featuring a sheer sleeve detail on one side and a flowing cape, which only added to the elegance of her look. She paired the stunning gown with a pair of statement dangling earrings and kept her make-up natural, with soft curls framing her face.

Meanwhile Melania Trump opted for a very different look for the State Dinner as she stepped out in a mint green gown which featured an eye catching ruffle design running down the front of the dress. The ethereal dress featured sheer sleeves and pulled the First Lady in at the waist, showing off her slim figure.

The 51-year-old former model wore her hair in its usual sleek style, and opted for more dramatic make-up than her Australian counterpart. While President Trump and Prime Minister Morrison both donned tuxedos for the occasion, as they held hands with their respective wives during a photo call on the red carpet.

Earlier in the day, the Morrisons were welcomed to the White House by the First couple with an official reception hosted on the front lawn of the White House. Sticking to a distinct colour theme, Jenny opted for another navy dress for the Aussie pair’s first appearance of the official trip, wearing another full-length navy dress.

Scott and Jenny beamed as they posed alongside the President and First Lady on a makeshift stage, with Donald Trump later delivering a passionate speech about the Australian PM. Making reference to George W. Bush’s “man of steel” nickname for former Australian leader John Howard, Trump referred to ScoMo as a “man of titanium”.

“You know, titanium’s much tougher than steel,” he told reporters at the White House on Friday, according to the Daily Mail. “He’s a man of titanium, believe me, I have to deal with this guy.

“You might think he’s a nice guy, OK, he’s a man of real, real strength and a great guy.”

Meanwhile Melania looked sensational in a pale blue fitted dress, which beautifully complimented Jenny’s choice of outfit for the momentous occasion. The 51-year-old paired the tight-fitting frock with a striking pair of snakeskin-print stiletto heels and wore her lightened locks down over her shoulders as she accompanied her husband in welcoming their special guests.

Melania also posted a welcoming message to their Australian guests on Twitter earlier in the day, writing: “Welcome to the @WhiteHouse PM Morrison and Mrs. Morrison!”
