Richard Wilkins stepped out with girlfriend Virginia Burmeister for the premiere of Chasing Comets in Sydney on Wednesday night.
While the Today show host has gone to many red carpet events, it was Virginia who stole the show with a very daring display. The blonde beauty turned heads in a backless lace dress, which featured a plunging neckline, for the occasion, while Richard looked dapper in an all-black ensemble.
Adding a modern twist to a classic look, the daring frock also had cut outs on both sides of the gown – highlighting her incredible figure. She completed the glamorous ensemble with a pair of towering heels, accessorising with a black clutch handbag and subtle gold jewellery.
Virginia wore her blonde locks down in loose waves, and topped off her look with bronzed skin and a neutral lip.
It’s not the first time Virginia has stepped out in a daring frock. In November, the blonde beauty stepped out at the 2017 ARIA Awards in a barely-there black lace gown accentuated with floral detail on the bodice and thigh, while the Channel Nine star wore a classic black single breasted dinner suit.
Virginia paired the halter-neck number with towering black heels and a silver clutch, and finished off the look with a pair of silver drop earrings.
Earlier this year, Richard, welcomed his first grandchild into the world. The 64-year-old shared the exciting news on social media, congratulating his daughter Rebecca and son-in-law James on the arrival of their “little princess”.
He wrote: “Congratulations to my beautiful daughter Becky and her handsome husband James on the arrival of their little princess Isabella Rose.” Clearly excited about his new role, the Today show host added the hashtag #veryproudgranddad.
Richard, is a dad to five children, Adam, Nick, Christian, Rebecca and Estella, but despite having been a parent since he was 18, this is his first foray into the wonderful world of grand-parenting.
