She’s become a fashion icon thanks to her impeccable style and Jane Fonda certainly didn’t disappoint as she shimmered in gold for Thursday’s Women’s Media Awards. The star, who is a co-founder of the awards, made a stunning entrance in New York City.
Jane, 80, looked glamorous in the dazzling ensemble that included a gold feathered jacket and black flared trousers. The Grace and Frankie actress teamed the show-stopping look with a pair of metallic gold shoes and a matching chunky necklace.
In 2005, Jane and political activists Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem founded the Women’s Media Center (WMC), a nonprofit organisation working to raise the visibility of women and girls in media, ensuring their stories get told and their voices are heard.
Jane proved she is every bit a fashion icon as she showed off yet another stylish outfit for an event in Paris last month. Attending the Kering Women in Motion Master Class, at Cinematheque Francaise in France, the actress stepped out in a pair of funky green pants and a skin-tight black sweater for the occasion.
Jane spruced up the outfit with an elaborate green and gold necklace and a classic pair of black suede boots.
Her glammed up appearance comes after the actress released her documentary Jane Fonda in Five Acts. The film provides viewers with an intimate perspective on the star’s incredible life. Whether it be insights into her award-winning acting career, her role as a sex icon, her political activism, or her time as one of the world’s most influential fitness gurus, the film gives viewers a taste of Jane they haven’t seen before.
While she’s been busy hitting the promotional trial for the film over the past few months, the actress said she was happy to focus on her career after declaring she was done with dating after splitting from her long-term partner Richard Perry in 2017.
“I’m not dating anymore but I did up until a couple of years ago,” she told Extra in May. “I’m 80… I’ve closed up shop down there!”
