They’re two of Hollywood’s longtime leading ladies, so it’s no surprise they’ve been friends for years.
Pals Goldie Hawn and Melanie Griffith both looked fabulous as they attended the Make Equality Reality Gala in California on Monday night. The annual gala helps to create a just-world for women and girls.
Goldie, 73, put on a striking display in a chic black jumpsuit, which featured sheer cap sleeves and a low neckline. She completed the look with netted black heels and silver hoops, and styled her blonde locks in her trademark tousled hairdo.
Meanwhile, Melanie didn’t disappoint in the style stakes as she donned an eye-catching red coat to ward off the winter chill. The 61-year-old teamed the outfit with a black turtleneck and stylish boots.
Goldie and Melanie have been good friends for years and are regularly snapped out and about together.
Earlier this year, the blonde beauties were pictured together at Goldie’s charity fundraiser in London. Melanie looked classic in a black suit jacket, while Goldie dazzled in a silver sequin top matched with a wild-looking pair of flared pants.
And in 2015, Goldie and Melanie took a holiday trip together to Aspen, Colorado, with their famous daughters Kate Hudson, 39, and Dakota Johnson, 29.
It comes after Goldie became a grandmother again after Kate and her partner Danny Fujikawa welcomed a baby girl in October. Taking to Instagram with a special post, Kate revealed the pair had chosen the name Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, with Rani pronounced as “Ronnie”, in tribute to Danny’s late father Ron.
Rani is Goldie and husband Kurt Russell’s sixth grandchild. They also have two grandsons and a granddaughter thanks to Kate’s brother, Oliver Hudson, 41.
Speaking about being a grandma previously, Goldie told Closer magazine: “A good family is the answer to happiness… I look at our kids and grandkids and there’s nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all of them.”
