She never puts a foot wrong when it comes to choosing stylish, yet appropriate, outfits for her various royal engagements and the Duchess of Cambridge looked sensational once again on Thursday afternoon.
The duchess stepped out in an olive-green, belted dress alongside husband Prince William to meet Tusk Awards nominees at a tea hosted by Kensington Palace. The awards are run by the Tusk Trust, a non-profit organisation set up to help protect African wildlife, of which William has been royal patron since December 2005.
Catherine scheduled to make an appearance at a lavish annual event for the same trust on Thursday night in London, but pulled out at the last minute “due to the children”, according to People.
Catherine’s dress by British fashion brand Beulah London featured a pleated skirt and flattered the duchess’ figure beautifully. Keeping her accessories simple for the event, Catherine opted for an understated pair of patent leather black court shoes, while she wore her recently highlighted locks in loose curls over her shoulders.

Right now, young people the world over are ringing that planetary alarm bell louder and with more determination than ever before. My generation and those following are acutely aware that we cannot simply carry on as we are. We have to move faster and more effectively to find ways to balance our demands on this planet with the nature we share it with. Earlier today, Catherine and I spent some time with the #TuskAwards nominees and finalists. Their bravery, single-minded determination, and commitment to African conservation is deeply deeply humbling. Carlos, Tomas, Gladys, Jeneria, Benson and their colleagues are truly inspiring and give us all hope that change is truly possible. The Duke of Cambridge at the @Tusk_org Awards #ForAllTheyDo
It’s not the first time Catherine has worn the elegant frock. She was previously pictured sporting the same dress in January for a visit to the Family Action organisation in London, but teamed the dress on that occasion with a croc-embossed belt and suede shoes.
It comes after a busy week for both Catherine and William, who made a dazzling appearance on Monday evening at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.
The mother-of-three looked sensational in black lace for the star-studded annual event, as the royal couple acted as Queen Elizabeth’s representatives at the heavily anticipated show. Catherine showed off her stunning sense of style in the floor-length Alexander McQueen gown which featured a sheer lace over-lay, with a neutral lining.
Prince William matched Catherine’s elegant look with a sharp-looking tuxedo.
The annual Royal Variety Performance is one of the main events in the royal calendar, having first taken place 1912. The televised show is held in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which the Queen is patron.
The money raised from the show helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health or hard times. Every year a host of well-known names – along with the winner of Britain’s Got Talent – take to the stage to entertain the royals and members of the public.
