Catherine gave a modern twist to the 1950s favourite polka dot trend as she stepped in a gorgeous patterned blouse and pair of wide-leg trousers for a royal engagement this week.

The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she visited the Sunshine House Children and Young People’s Health and Development Centre where she met with the Southwark Family Nurse Partnership (SNP) team to highlight the valuable work that they do for the community.

With her gorgeous brunette locks styled in Kate’s usual slightly waved hair-do, the mother-of-three looked full of joy while sitting down for a chat with the committed workers and the children in their care. The navy and white polka-dot blouse was the perfect fit for the occasion, matched with the stylish trousers and a pair of simple black pumps.

Kate was absolutely glowing as she waved to crowds upon entering the facility with further snaps shared on the royal family’s social media account showing Prince William’s wife interacting with children currently receiving treatment from the caring nursing team. She sported a very natural makeup look for the outing, with a swipe of bronzer to her cheeks and a soft pink lip to pull the look together.

Meanwhile, the colourful flowers carried brought a touch of colour and happiness to the day.During her visit the duchess sat down for a chat with mothers who have been through the FNP program to help understand how it has helped their kids in reaching health and development goals.

Among the parents was was mother Amina, who was supported by the FNP team during the first two years of her three-year-old daughter Ramira’s life. Speaking about the support received over that course of time the mum explained when she was pregnant with Ramira, nurse Debbie helped her find suitable housing.

“When Ramira was born she would regularly visit us and we attended classes together at my local children’s centre,” she said according to the royal family. “She also provided lots of guidance when I was weaning Ramira and even supported me when I took Ramira on holiday to America.”

Amina continued: “Debbie has constantly been there for Ramira and me. I’m very thankful for the support I received from the Evelina London FNP. It’s given me the confidence and knowledge to be an even better parent to Ramira.”

As part of FNP, first time parents aged 24 and under receive voluntary home visits from a specially trained family nurse during early pregnancy and all the way until the child is two-years-old. The program is delivered in 70 areas right across England with each team made up of specially trained nurse supervisors, family nurses and quality support officers.

“Multiple rigorous evaluations show it has a long-term positive impact on child outcomes,” the royal family explained on Instagram. Adding: “From health visitors and school nurses to specialist treatment for children with long-term health conditions, Evelina London’s community services care for children and families across the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark — thank you to everyone that came out to greet the Duchess of Cambridge today!”

Many took to social media to share their thoughts on the mum’s royal duties with some claiming her kind nature reminds them of her mother-in-law Princess Diana.

“The duchess Kate is really beautiful and with a big heart,” one person wrote on Instagram. “It reminds me of Princess Diana.” While another added: “Genuine, compassionate and respectful.” And a third said: “Brilliant. Your an amazing woman.”
