If you just can’t have a cup of tea or coffee without a tasty biscuit to dip into the hot beverage, then you have to give these addictive sweets a go. These peanut butter biscuits with a hint of vanilla are not only super easy to whip up but they taste so good you’ll be addicted to them in no time! They’re the best for filling your biscuit jar to treat the grandkids with their unique taste that is just a bit different from the everyday chocolate or plain biscuits. This recipe should make about 24 depending on size but feel free to double or halve the ingredients to make the perfect amount for you!


  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  1. Preheat oven to 160C. Grease two baking trays. Add brown sugar and caster sugar to a bowl. Stir to combine. Add melted butter and egg. Stir well to combine. Gradually sift flour into mixture. Add peanut butter and vanilla and stir well until completely combined.
  2. Place teaspoon servings of mixture onto prepared tray. Flatten with fork.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Leave to cool completely on wire rack. Serve.
