Sweet and spicy meatballs with tahini yoghurt

This delicious recipe would be perfect to whip up for a whole range of occasions. Whether you’re cooking them up to go alongside some steamed veggies as a filling and tasty dinner or you’re spiking toothpicks into them and popping on a serving plate for guests to go crazy over – there really is no wrong way to enjoy these mouthwatering beef bites.

While the tahini dipping sauce is completely optional, the flavour works so unbelievably well alongside the sweet and spicy meat. So, if you’re really looking to accentuate and complement all the different flavours, definitely give everything in this recipe a try.


  • 600g beef mince
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh continental parsley leaves
  • 2 tbs currants
  • 1 tbs harissa paste
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 200g (3/4 cup) Greek-style yoghurt
  • 1 tbs tahini
  • 2 tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 2 bunches broccolini
  • Sweet paprika, to serve


  1. Add mince, parsley, currants and harissa to a bowl. Season and mix well with hands to combine. Roll into 8 evenly-sized meatballs.
  2. Heat oil in large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs, turning, for 5-6 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  3. Combine yoghurt, tahini and lemon juice in a bowl. Season.
  4. Serve meatballs with tahini yoghurt and paprika.
