Having homemade biscuits on hand are a must for those who love to enjoy something sweet alongside their afternoon cuppa, and these chocolate biscuits are definitely the most perfect option. With just eight easy ingredients, not only are these tasty treats incredibly more-ish, but they’re also one of the easiest biscuit recipes you’ll ever try.

The white chocolate drizzle really does complete the flavour of these tasty treats, but if you’re looking to cut down on your sugar intake slightly, then you can skip that step. Enjoy these fresh from the oven and you’ll never want to buy the store-bought versions again. Enjoy!

  • 1/3 cup (75g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (110g) coconut sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 125g butter, softened, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups (240g) wholemeal plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (190g) chocolate chips
  • 75g white chocolate, melted

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place brown sugar, coconut sugar, egg and butter in food processor and process until creamy. Add flour and cocoa powder. Pulse until just combined.
  2. Transfer mixture to bowl. Add chocolate chips. Stir to combine. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Place on prepared trays, about 3cm apart, and flatten slightly.
  3. Bake for 12 mins or until just firm. Set aside on trays to cool completely. Drizzle with white chocolate. Serve.
