  • 800g chicken breasts, chopped into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch red chilli flakes
  • Sesame seeds, to serve

  1. Combine chicken pieces and cornflour in ziplock bag. Seal and shake to coat. Add teaspoon of water to ziplock bag to form light batter to coat chicken.
  2. Heat oil in large frying pan over high heat. Cook chicken until lightly browned for 2-3 minutes either side. Transfer to bowl of slow cooker.
  3. Combine honey, garlic, chicken stock, soy sauce, rice vinegar, onion powder, salt and chilli flakes in bowl. Pour mixture over chicken in slow cooker.
  4. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 until chicken is fully cooked. Serve topped with sesame seeds.
