Catwalk coverage of the 2017 ARIA Awards has begun, with Richard Wilkins, 63, and new flame Virginia Burmeister, 50, spotted on the red carpet earlier this afternoon.
Burmeister donned a barely-there black lace gown accentuated with floral detail on the bodice and thigh, while the Channel Nine star wore a classic black single breasted dinner suit.
Burmeister paired the halter-neck number with towering black heels and a silver clutch.
She completed the look with a pair of silver drop earrings.
It’s not the first time Burmeister has stepped out in a daring gown.
Earlier in November, the blonde beauty stepped out at the GQ Men of the Year awards in a long black gown with a plunging neckline and high thigh split.
Wilkins recently confirmed his relationship with Burmeister after the pair were snapped together at former Today Show host Lisa Wilkinson’s second wedding, in Sydney.
The Daily Telegraph reported recently that “Confidential’s finance industry sources say the fit blonde and her “extremely wealthy” estranged husband [Morgan and Stanley investment banker Mark Burmeister] have three school-aged children together.”
Guests at the ARIAs will be treated this evening to performances by Lorde, Paul Kelly, and a special Hall of Fame performance by Daryl Braithwaite, amongst others.
Boy George, Mick Fleetwood and Harry Styles are amongst the evening’s international presenters, and will join local stars Rebel Wilson, Sophie Monk and one of the members of Australia’s most successful rock band INXS.
