Getting locked out of your home is possibly one of the worst feelings out there. It is annoying and always seems to happen at the most inconvenient times.
And it could happen to almost anyone. Appearing on Studio 10 on Thursday, Kerri-Anne Kennerley shared a clever trick for getting into one’s house, after the TV presenter admitted that she had to break into her own home last year.
“I’ve had to crawl through the dog door a couple of times,” the 65-year-old said.
Kerri-Anne said she had forgotten the key to her house and had to climb over a gate before crawling through the dog door sideways.
“Your hips have to go sideways,” she added.
Kerri-Anne was announced as a new Studio 10 panelist in September, following the departures of Ita Buttrose, Jessica Rowe and Denise Drysdale.
It comes after the TV star publicly slammed a magazine over a fake news article. Earlier this month, the 65-year-old star called out New Idea for a “fake news” article they published about her. Co-host Joe Hildebrand held up a copy of the latest issue of the magazine and pointed out the article in question, titled “Kerri-Anne walks out: I Quit Studio 10”.
“That’s it! I quit,” the former Good Morning Australia host joked, waving her hands in an over-the-top way. “It’s right here in New Idea so it must be true.”
Guest co-host Todd McKenney pointed out the issue had actually hit stands on Monday and that if she had really quit, she wouldn’t be hosting the show on Tuesday.
The former 20 to One host explained that the article highlighted an apparent argument she was having with co-host Angela Bishop.
“What over?” Bishop asked, as Kennerley questioned which page the story was on, clearly implying the feud is non-existent.
The star, who was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame last year, also denied that she and co-host Sarah Harris were arguing, while the article claimed her true loyalties were with Channel Nine. Fans will recall Kennerley had previously appeared on the network before making the switch to Channel 10.
