After retiring from a busy life as a teacher, Joan travels across the country and visits antique shops in search of a bargain.
One day, she visits an antique shop in a small country town. She speaks to Sandy, the store’s owner about an interesting item she saw in the store on her previous visit.
“When I was in here last week I noticed a big mug with a flat head that holds a lot of beer,” she says. “I’d like to buy it if it’s still available.”
Sandy pauses for a moment and is overcome with shock.
“I’m sorry but I can’t possibly sell that to you,” she says.
“That’s a shame,” Joan responds. “Why not? It’s still here.”
“Because that’s my husband,” Sandy replies.
