She was one of the biggest Hollywood icons in the 1960s and at the age of 80, Jane Fonda is continuing to wow crowds. In addition to appearing in new movie The Book Club, she’s currently in Australia to perform her speaking tour at the Sydney Opera House. The star stopped by The Project on Sunday night, where she caught the attention of 33-year-old host Tommy Little.

Despite being 47 years her junior, Little could be seen flirting up a storm with the Monster-In-Law star.

“I can’t believe I’m sitting next to Jane Fonda,” he gushed. “This is such a thrill for me. What’s the secret? You are the most stunning person on the planet.”

Little’s co-hosts including Lisa Wilkinson and Sarah Harris asked if they were chopped liver and in the presence of Fonda, Little thought they were.

“I’m really sorry Lis, but compared to Jane Fonda, yeah,” he said, continuing to praise his famous guest. “You are absolutely incredible. Are you feeling as great as you look?”

“I’m feeling pretty great,” Fonda replied. “Yeah. I love being here in Australia. I like Australia.”

The star revealed she had spent her weekend exploring Sydney and was wowed by the Aussie animals.

“I love going some place where the animals are different from where they are back home,” she explained. “You know what my favourite is? The kookaburrow. I love that bird.”

The panel corrected the way the Hollywood legend was saying kookaburra, before talk quickly turned to the fitness guru’s new movie.

“It’s about sex,” she said of her new film. “And friendship. Women’s friendship.”

Little had another reply for Fonda, making for an extremely awkward moment.

“You know you would sell so many more tickets if you called it Sex Club,” he joked.

Later in the interview, Little said he had something to show Fonda. Not missing a beat, she pulled herself close next to Little.

“You show me yours and I’ll show you mine,” she joked, while Little said the moment would stay with him for the rest of his life. He then explained that he grew up watching Fonda’s famous workout videos and even showed her a clip of himself working out to one of her videos from the ‘80s.

Towards the end of the interview, the hosts pulled up one of Fonda’s Instagram posts where she had been forced to sleep in a dress because she had no one to help her unzip it.

Here’s me the next morning. I couldn’t get my dress unzipped so I slept in it.. never wanted a husband in my life until now

“I live alone now. I’ve had three husbands and I’m finally on my own and I went to this fancy party with this incredible sequined dress and I got home and I couldn’t unzip it,” she explained. “I had nobody to unzip it for me, so I slept in in.”

Little, who was still flirting with the star, ensured he left a lasting impression on his famous guest.

“I’d never thought we’d live in a world where Jane Fonda couldn’t find someone to take her dress off,” he joked.

The interview ended with Fonda asking if Little was always like this, before she pulled herself in for a cuddle with the handsome host.
