A conversation about autocorrect fails was always going to be awkward, but star of The Project Carrie Bickmore wasn’t expecting the words that came out of co-host Steve Price’s mouth on Monday’s episode of the hit Channel Ten show.

During the episode, the panel were discussing how tech giant Apple had purposely chose to autocorrect the f-word to duck across its range of iPhones, iPads and iPods. Anyone who has tried to curse using an Apple device will understand that it can take several attempts before the phone will let you send the correct swear word.

Surprisingly, Bickmore said she was used to seeing the word “duck” and “ducking” appear on her phone all the time when she tried to send messages.

“Ducking pops up on my phone all the time and it’s really annoying,” she told her co-hosts. “The worst part is when you see it says duck and you go, ‘no I wanted it — so you change it to what you wanted and then it says duck, duck, duck and you’re like, ‘no!’”

Trying to be funny, 2GB host Price chimed in with what he thought was a hilarious joke.

“So if I get a message from you saying lets go ducking next week,” Price asked Bickmore. “What does that mean?”

Waleed Aly appeared shocked by the joke.

“Excuse me,” he could be heard saying, as other members of the panel burst into laughter.

Bickmore became noticeably uncomfortable as she tried to laugh off the embarrassing incident.

“Oh my God,” Bickmore said. “If I didn’t feel so uncomfortable.”

Price apologised for the blunder before moving on to the next segment, but not before viewers at home noticed the awkwardness.

One person on twitter wrote: “I don’t know @BickmoreCarrie but I can guarantee you #StevePrice you will NEVER EVER receive that text from her.”

Another simply said: “Steve Price: ew.”

A third message added: “No thanks, Pricey… I don’t want to go ducking.”

It’s not the first time an Aussie TV show has descended into a raunchy sex chat. Last week, Denise Scott blasted a new shock therapy that’s said to get women excited about having sex on an episode of Studio 10.

The star was offended by research that said electric shock therapy could boost a woman’s libido and hit back at claim’s that older women experience female sexual dysfunction.

“See this is crap,” she said. “Really? Female sexual dysfunction is you’re getting old and you don’t want it.”
