Nicole Kidman shows her unique style.

Nicole Kidman has done it again.

The Aussie star was expected to be a big success in the fashion stakes at Cannes Film Festival this year, but she has exceeded expectations.

Amongst the variety of stars of all ages Nicole has shown class and style at every appearance.

Attending an event celebrating 70 years of the festival Nicole looked very much a gypsy queen in a stunning sequin dress.

Speaking to media at a Cannes press conference Kidman said it was never planned she would be so busy at the event.

“To have four projects here, that is sort of a confluence of events,” Kidman said “It is not something I was aware would happen, ” Vanity Fair reported. “I am just trying to stay very bold and open and try things and support filmmakers that I believe in. And also people like Jane Campion, who has been my friend since I was 14 and discovered me basically…I am at that point of my life where I am trying to act as though I am 21 and starting my career.”

Nicole made it clear that acting was still a passion. “In terms of pushing the boundaries, I want to support people who are trying different things or who have a very, very unique filmmaking style or who are first-time filmmakers who can’t get things made. I have worked a lot. I don’t have to work. I work because it is still my passion. It is still the way in which I express myself.”

Other stars attending the 70th anniversary event showed plenty of style too, including Antonia Banderas, Kristin Scott Thomas, Nastassja Kinski, Catherine Deneuve and Roman Polanski.
