Make the most of your Seniors Card in 2018

It’s difficult to know where you can use your Seniors Card with many businesses changing their policies from year-to-year, so with the new year it’s time to review where you can benefit from being over-60.

Each state and territory has a Seniors Card scheme and some reciprocal arrangements are in place so you can use your card in other states. Your Seniors Card is free and provides transport concessions and participating business discounts on a range of goods and services.

To be eligible you must be a resident of the state, 60 years of age or over, and not working more than a set numbers of hours per week in paid employment.

Not only can you get discounts across Australia, but Starts at 60 has found the discount directory websites for each state (plus New Zealand). On most you can search by location within your state as well as genre and proximity to you. Some even have downloadable and printable directories so you can have a copy with you.
