The day after celebrating her 80^th birthday, Margaret received a notice that she had been selected for jury duty. She called up to remind the courts that she was exempt because of her age.

“You’ll need to come in and fill out the exemption forms,” said the clerk.

“But I filled them out last year.”

“You have to fill them out every year, ma’am.”

“Why?” Margaret asked. “Do you think I’m getting younger?”
