A man and his wife are sitting by the fire …

A man and his wife are sitting by the fire when an announcement comes up on the television.

“We’re expecting a lot of snow tonight, folks,” the presenter says. “Please make sure you’re parked on the even-numbered side of the road so we can plough.”

The man goes out to move the car.

The next day, the same thing happens and the television presenter tells everyone to move the cars to the odd-numbered side of the road.

Again, the man goes out to move the car.

A few days later, the presenter begins to make the same announcement. This time, however, the power goes out before the presenter can finish.

The man is frustrated. “How am I supposed to know which side to put the car on now?!”

The woman pats her husband’s hand. “I have an idea. Let’s just leave the car in the garage tonight.”
