About Dr Sandy Sampaio

Dr Sandy Sampaio is a GenesisCare radiation oncologist practicing out of Macquarie University and Concord Hospitals, Sydney. She previously practiced as a staff specialist at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse cancer treatment centre in Sydney. Dr Sampaio studied medicine at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, before undertaking her physician training in both the UK and Adelaide. She went on to complete her specialist training in radiation oncology across a number of cancer centres, including Prince of Wales, Liverpool, Campbelltown and Wollongong hospitals, before embarking on a clinical fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Through her training and clinical roles, Dr Sampaio developed special interests in brain and spine cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and palliative cancer, as well as benign conditions. Dr Sampaio is currently leading a clinical trial out of Concord Hospital investigating the use of radiation therapy for Dupuytren’s disease.
