About Flora Radi
Flora is a self-funded retiree. A mother of one and grandmother of three, Flora’s journey began we she and her mother sailed to Australia from a small village in central Italy in April 1959. She was six at the time and they were coming to join her father.
Her early years were challenging. Flora could not read, write or speak. Yet it wasn’t long before she caught up with her classmates.
She started work at 16 for a government organisation. Flora has worked in electricity, insurance and banking. These were jobs she loved. Flora considers herself a people person, and the work allowed her to provide the best customer service possible to the business’s customers.
Retiring in 2016, Flora enjoys a full and busy life. She looks after her small grandchildren a few days a week, and keeps socially and physically active.
